Hedurn

Be able to be alone.
Lose not the advantage of solitude,
and the society of thyself
.”
~Sir Thomas Browne

-
Hedurn {hed’urn}is the second planet in line from the binary stars of the Ali’fantasea System {al’ih’fan’tay’shuh}. It is the third largest planet in the System, but looks larger due to its vast expanses of rings orbiting its gaseous atmosphere.
Hedurn does not have life, nor can it ever sustain life. And it does not have any moons to keep it company. Hedurn’s rings are its only companion in its quiet part of the System.

The planet was named by Daerinic* magicians of TaeAra (planet) who studied astronomy intently in hopes that they would discover magical secrets in the Heavens. Hedurn was a legendary Z’rak’n** Sentinel, and hero of the Battle of Tenns.

An interesting history to how it was named. Always fascinating to me to imagine that people could be so advanced in their desires to persue life beyond their own planet, but a fun twist that they truly searched for magical secrets in the Heavens.
