Andruun, Airikibo, Aysvee, and Ammeric

"Castles in the air - they are so easy to take refuge in. And so easy to build as well."

~Henrik Ibsen

-
Andruun {ann'droon} is the sixth planet from the binary suns of Tyrenollo and Stelunops. It is the second largest in Ali'fantasea, and is circled by a thick set of horizontal rings.

Three moons orbit the planet. They are Airikibo {air'ih'kee'bo}, Aysvee {ay'ss'vee} (which has rings also), and Ammeric {amm'err'ik} (which has an atmosphere enabling it to sustain life).

This planet's name comes from a word that described a mythical place "from whence mighty challengers come forth". The RannaCrilec (or Ranoran) holy men of Planet TaeAra believed that their supposed rescuer/champion would come from this "hostile and distant" world. (They spied it in the night sky at a time when their people were under Dangan dominance... dominance they desperately wanted out from under).

It was a TannoCrilec (or Cril'tanan) that ended up championing the Crilec people and set into motion a revolt that freed them from the Dangans. The planet's name, Andruun, had already stuck by that time, though the planet was uninhabited, save various creatures and plantlife.
The first inhabitants were refugees from TaeAra a short time before her cataclysmic ending. Peoples from Oroen also began colonizing near that time. Fayle'dor was the name of the land that they all occupied. But rivalry between the opposing civilizations soon erupted into devastating wars.

To avoid their own demise, the different colonizers retreated back from each other - with the exception of the ancient Rurmirans of TaeAra, the proclaimed victors. The surviving civilizations spread out, each claiming their own "corner" of the world. And Andruun knew long enough peace for them to settle and progress.

Unfortunately, peace is not maintained easily.
